CURATORIAL GAZE
STATE OF PRESENCE
We live surrounded by images.
Every day we are bombarded by thousands of them. Some inform, others distract. Few remain.
Art, however, remains one of the rare places where time slows down and the gaze finds space to linger.
The State of Presence is born from this encounter.
More than simply bringing together different languages, techniques, or styles, this exhibition proposes an experience of attention. Each work represents a moment in which the artist transformed perception into matter, silence into form, emotion into language.
It doesn't matter when the artwork was created. What matters is the moment it meets the visitor's gaze.
It is in this encounter that art happens.
As visitors explore the exhibition, they are invited to suspend, even if only for a few moments, the fast pace of daily life to experience a different kind of presence: a presence built through contemplation, sensitivity, and discovery.
In the UP ART universe, art is not just...
Representation of reality. It broadens perception, awakens new possibilities of seeing, and transforms the relationship between the artwork, the space, and the observer.
Each artist presents a unique vision.
Each work opens up a new field of perception.
And each visitor completes this experience with their own presence.
Because art only fully exists when someone truly decides to look.
